Training this week

Good morning everyone,

I hope you made the most of the fantastic weather and long weekend.

What a great start to the weekend with the Club Champs at Good Friday. Well done to all that took part, it was a fantastic atmosphere, AVTC showed what a strong club we are with an amazing number of people racing but the level of support from other club members was fantastic. It makes me proud to be a part of such a great club.

Tuesday - 19:00hrs - Run Intervals - Milton Park Stores, OX14 4RS

Intervals are a very effective way of improving your run speed, this is a fun session using areas of the park for a run session that is suitable for all abilities.

Bring along a drink and dress appropriately for the weather

This evenings session will include a running bleep test - this is a great measure of where you are with your run fitness at this time of year. this will be repeated a few times across the race season.

Thursday - 19:00-20:00 / 20:00-21:00hrs - Pool Swim - Abingdon White Horse Leisure centre, OX14 3PJ

£3 payable to coaching staff on poolside (do not pay at reception)

Please come along to your usual session for a structured swim session that will improve your fitness and technique.

If you have them bring along your fins, hand paddles etc. Also bring a drink.

Saturday - 09:00 for 09:15 Depart - Road Ride - Milton Park Stores, OX14 4RS

This is a non-coached session. Open to all abilities. Arrive at Milton park at 09:00hrs and organise yourselves into groups of similar ability, plan a route and go and enjoy some of the fantastic riding that we have on our doorstep. Where possible there will be different groups to cater for all abilities.
