Training this week

Tuesday - 19:00 – Running Intervals – Behind Milton Park Stores, OX14 4RS. WE WILL ALSO BE COACHING A TRANSITION TRAINING SESSION THIS EVENING.

A very effective way of improving your running speed and technique.

The session will be suitable for all abilities, you will work hard, you will improve your running and you will have fun.

Dress appropriately for the weather; layers are best as you will warm up.

Also bring along a drink and a method of timing yourself if you have it.

Transition session - Milton Park, all meet round the back of the shop in the bigger car park:
For those that want to practice transition or hone your skills, then you can join all or the end part of the session on Tuesday.  You will need to bring with you everything you expect to use in transition (swim hat, goggles, wetsuit if you want to, bike, helmet, bike shoes, race belt, run shoes and anything else you think you might need!)  We shall do a small amount of bike handling skills, mounting and dismounting skills and then transition practice as well as providing you with tips and hints to shave off those 10's of seconds.

Thursday - 19:00-20:00 / 20:00-21:00hrs - Pool Swim - Abingdon White Horse Leisure centre, OX14 3PJ

£3 payable to coaching staff on poolside (do not pay at reception)

Please come along to your usual session for a structured swim session that will improve your fitness and technique.

If you have them bring along your fins, hand paddles etc. Also bring a drink.

Saturday  - 10:00hrs Outdoor Circuits - Abbey Gardens, Abingdon, (behind Waitrose towards the river),

This is a later start than usual to allow people to go and Park run beforehand if they fancy a double challenge.

This is a real fun and challenging session, open to all levels of ability and fitness, circuits is as hard as you push yourself, of course with motivation of others. It will consist of strength, cardio and function exercises that will complement our 3 sports. Bring along a drink. This session will take place no matter the weather so if it is wet, wear some clothes that you do not mind getting muddy as we will be on the floor

As it has been a while since the last circuit session I think the Drag tyre will have to come out to play!!

Hope to see you all during the week.

Andy
