Training this week

Hope you managed to choose the right day for training this weekend (unlike me!) and didn't get too wet.

Training this week contains a change for TUESDAY

Tuesday - 19:00 - Track Running - Tilsley Park Sports Facility, Abingdon, OX14 1PU

The most effective way of improving your running speed and technique.

The session will be suitable for all abilities so if you have not been to the track before, come along and quash those apprehensions, you will work hard, you will improve your running and you will have fun.

Dress appropriately for the weather, with the track sessions layers are best as you will warm up.

Also bring along a drink and a method of timing yourself if you have it.

Thursday - 19:00-20:00 / 20:00-21:00hrs - Pool Swim - Abingdon White Horse Leisure centre, OX14 3PJ

£3 payable to coaching staff on poolside (do not pay at reception)

Please come along to your usual session for a structured swim session that will improve your fitness and technique.

If you have them bring along your fins, hand paddles etc. Also bring a drink.

Saturday - 08:45 for 09:00 Start - Park run at Didcot, OX11 7AF.

Come and join a large number of like-minded individuals for a fast and flat 5km run around the Lady Grove park. A number of club members regularly take part in this event so look out for those dressed in our pink and black kit. You must be registered with Parkrun and have a barcode to get an official time. This is completely free and very quick and easy to do. Just follow the link below.

Just a note for swimming; the 7pm session is very quiet at the moment, so please feel free to come along to this session if it suits you better. We are making the assumption that it is quiet due to the summer holidays and not because all the 7pm swimmers have become really lazy :)
