Welcome to this weeks newsletter - now that the triathlon racing season is coming to a close, you will notice that we have some different sessions appearing in the training schedule, including our first circuits session this week.  This weeks won't be the usual high intensity session, but will focus on form and technique so that when we do the intensity sessions, we all do it with perfect form.

Plus - a change in Monday nights session.

Training

 

Monday - 19.00 - Run Training - Tilsley Park, meet at reception.

Whilst this is not a coached session, it will help develop your running endurance - we take a 10km (ish) route around Abingdon (shorter routes are available) and run in ability groups.  No-one will be left behind and there is ALWAYS someone to run with.  A great way to keep your running up AND have a mini social at the same time.  Win win.

 

 

Tuesday - 20:00 - Circuits Session - White Horse Tennis and Leisure Centre, Abingdon

Fun, fast and furious - what's not to love about a hot and sweaty circuits session. This is one of the most popular sessions in the winter programme, so come along and prepare to work hard, but reap the benefits come race season.
Bring a towel and a drink.
The session this week will focus on technique and good form (just to ease you in gently!)

 

Thursday - 19:00-20:00 / 20:00-21:00hrs - Pool Swim - Abingdon White Horse Leisure centre, OX14 3PJ
We're back at the White Horse Leisure Centre - although they have refurbished the pool, please don't be disappointed that it looks exactly the same.....they have been working on the filtration and not the pool itself!

£3 payable to coaching staff on poolside (do not pay at reception)

Please come along to either the session at 7pm or 8pm, whichever suits you better for a structured swim session that will improve your fitness and technique.

If you have them bring along your fins, hand paddles etc.and a drink.
