Welcome to this weeks newsletter
Its beginning to warm up and with the warmth comes the opportunity to freeze in the lake! We're putting on a breakfast swim for you all to take advantage of this privilege, see below for detail;
Breakfast Lake Swim Sunday 21st May 8 - 10am Queensford Lakes
Now that you have all had a chance to dust off your suit, brush up on your open water swimming or just acclimatise, we are going to be holding a group open water swimming session on Sunday 21st May.
A chance to have fun swimming as a group, run by our wonderful club coaches. Now, if that wasn’t enough to wet your appetite (no pun intended) once the swim is over, warm up and tuck into a yummy breakfast lovingly prepared by your social squad, we’ll be serving up sausages buns, pastries, fruit, tea/coffee.
Interested? Great, this is what you need to do now:
· Tell Carmen you want to attend and your name will go on the list (contact details below)
· Transfer £6(ph) which will cover the cost of your breakfast
· If you have any dietary req. please say so.

NB you must sort your own entrance to the lake out on arrival; £6 is for breakfast only.

Monday - 19.00 - Run Social - Tilsley Park, meet at reception.
*****new shorter routes are available for those people who want to run for less than 5km, so if you're wanting to get back into running after a break, come along!**
Whilst this is not a coached session, it will help develop your running endurance - we take a 10km (ish) route around Abingdon (shorter routes are available) and run in ability groups. No-one will be left behind and there is ALWAYS someone to run with. A great way to keep your running up AND have a mini social at the same time. Win win.
Tuesday - 19:00hrs - Track Running - Tilsley Park Sports Facility, Abingdon, OX14 1PU £4:50 payable at reception
The most effective way of improving your running speed and technique.
The session will be suitable for all abilities so if you have not been to the track before, come along and quash those apprehensions, you will work hard, you will improve your running and you will have fun.
For the session you will need to bring: Running shoes, drink and any other equipment you may use during a race.
Thursday - 19:00-20:00 / 20:00-21:00hrs - Pool Swim - Abingdon White Horse Leisure Centre, OX14 3PJ *7pm swimmers, please make sure that you are IN the water at 7 ready to start and out at 8pm for the 8pm swimmers to get straight in.
£3 payable to coaching staff on poolside (do not pay at reception)
Please come along to either the session at 7pm or 8pm, whichever suits you better for a structured swim session that will improve your fitness and technique.
If you have them bring along your fins, hand paddles etc.and a drink.
